In short
- IID's net metering program is full. New systems are on Net Billing: each month, energy your home uses as it's made is free, imports are billed at the normal rate, and exports are paid the Distributive Self-Generation rate, currently 6.98¢ per kWh.
- Existing net-metering customers keep it for 20 years from their in-service date.
- We found no IID solar or battery rebate.
