In short
- Pasadena credits surplus solar on your bill (Net Surplus Compensation): currently 9.127¢ per kWh in winter and 10.053¢ in summer on the annual option, more on the monthly option. Cash-out is allowed above $50 or when the account closes.
- Rebates for systems installed from Jan 1, 2026: $0.60 per watt for solar ($1.00 for income-qualified customers), owned systems only, one per address. PWP also announced a battery rebate of up to $550 per kWh (check the current terms with PWP).
- New systems may be sized up to 150% of your highest yearly use in the past 5 years, or larger when paired with storage.
